POS Bio-Sciences is a confidential contract research organization that assists clients with process and product development. We are devoted to helping our clients fast track the development of superior new products and technologies using cost effective methods.
POS is a dynamic organization comprised of richly diverse team members. As an Employee-owned company and are looking for new members who not only want to work at POS but also want to be part of our exciting business.
Our Finance department is currently looking for a new team member who will be a mentor to other team members in their department. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating all day-to-day operations of the Accounting department while supervising two other team members
Provide timely financial reporting and analysis for five corporate entities by fulfilling the following:
o Oversee all accounts and ledgers, ensuring accuracy
o Identify and implement improvements to the General Ledger
o Coordinate month end closing and financial report preparation
Liaise between the Director of Finance and accounting team to manage cash flow forecasting
Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Ensure adequate internal controls are functioning efficiently for all financial transaction processing and support
The ideal candidate has a professional attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Being self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while always delivering excellent service, is essential. Other requirements include:
Certified CA, CGA, or CMA with a minimum of 7 years in accounting function/positions
Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate and mentor others
Good technical knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems, Microsoft Office software and Financial reporting
