Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible to review ACLP prepared payrolls, verifying all payroll information for accuracy.    
2.Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the remittances and reconciliations, including benefits, CRA, WCB, union and garnishments.
3.Develop and oversee the processes for ensuring financial systems are operating as efficiently as possible.
4.Trouble shooting system issues.
5.Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly reconciliations of ACLPs commissaries.
6.Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, payables and receivables.
7.Reconciling the A/R Clearing accounts and ensuring prompt billing.
8.Ensure vendor payments are accurate and codes invoices properly, as well as to make online payments.
9.Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Commence, Mathematics, or related degree. CMA, CA, CGA would be considered an asset.
Three years progressive experience managing a finance department on a daily basis.
An acceptable combination of suitable education, experience, and training may also be considered.  
Knowledge of terminology and practices, applicable federal laws and provincials laws, industry regulations, Occupational Health & Safety, and union agreements.  
Knowledge of finance and accounting business process and procedures including General Ledger and full cycle accounting processes and procedures.  
Knowledge of AccPac (SAGE 300 Premium ERP) would be considered an asset.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels, and external clients and suppliers.  
Ability to pass alcohol and substance testing.
Ability to travel to various sites.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and within a team setting.
