We currently have a leadership opportunity for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer. Reporting to the Area Lead on a Major Mining project, this position is located in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office. This role has responsibility for the effective planning and supervision of design activities within a Major Greenfield mining project. Responsibilities
Providing instrumentation & control discipline support on medium to large scale heavy industrial projects
Performing I&C engineering design on light to heavy industrial projects
Providing estimates for engineering work
Reviewing project documents for technical accuracy, presentation, and scope
Providing field support to on-site personnel and the construction management team
Qualifications
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering, with specialty in instrumentation and controls
Minimum 10 years engineering and design experience in heavy industrial facilities
Knowledge of I&C standards including the ISA
Experience preparing technical specifications, technical requisitions, and bid evaluations
Understanding of construction activities and the ability to ensure that deliverables are appropriate for the project
Ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in the province of Saskatchewan
