Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
ongoing research and development of biological water treatment methods;
drafting and submitting reports with respect to the research and development of biological water treatment methods;
work with the design and research department;
conduct and monitor pilots, managing the startup and commissioning of systems;
complete site visits to monitor, troubleshoot and follow up to ensure ongoing support and the proper functioning of existing systems;
discuss and explain equipment set up and water treatment chemistry with customers;
travel to site locations and assist in servicing/troubleshooting performance problems associated with the product line and installations;
analyze and make recommendations to improve processes;
responsible for operator training, which would include ongoing technical advice, recommendations and training of the operation of Sapphire Equipment to new and existing customers;
liaison with staff at all levels, including management of new and existing customers;
timely and accurate completion of water system records;
submit accurate and timely reports of Pilot Studies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have knowledge and 3-5 years experience with potable water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment manufacturing, including filtration, sludge and sedimentation removal, chemical dosing, pumps, mechanical treatment, primary and secondary treatment, screens, grit removal, controllers and control panels. The ideal candidates will have a college or university degree in biology, chemistry or a related field and have experience with AutoCad or related CAD programs. Applicants must have a valid drivers license and be prepared to travel to all sites including remote sites. A high level of proficiency in both oral and written communication skills is a must.
