Under the direction of the Manager, Employment Services you will be responsible for delivering employment services under the English for Employment program. You will assist immigrants in their transition to a new culture by helping them develop English language skills related to employment in order to increase their participation in the local labour market.

**Candidates under consideration will be required to participate in an assessment process consisting of any/all of the following: interview, language abilities, and computer testing.
**Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
-Understands and respects cultural differences in a classroom setting.
-Extensive knowledge of the theory, practice and strategies for teaching adult learners.
-Good knowledge of the recognized methods and techniques for teaching English as an Alternate Language; understanding and appreciation of the cultural adaptation process and the barriers faced by immigrant and refugee language learners.
-Knowledge of Saskatchewan labour market information and related resources.
-Ability to stimulate student interest and motivate learner effort.
-Demonstrated ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons.
-Ability to monitor and assess student progress and provide objective feedback on students achievements and learning progress.
**Education and Experience:
-Bachelor of Education or Adult Education with training (TESL/TESOL) and experience teaching English as an Alternate Language.
**Required Licenses and/or Certificates:
Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification no criminal record (includes Vulnerable Sector Search) must be done within last three months.
