The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp  Rocanville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the CADD or Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for assigned engineering duties with the surface operations.  This includes drafting of mechanical, structural and electrical drawings, and detailing material specifications for new and modified equipment, mechanical, structural and piping items.  The Technician is also in charge of field checking and assisting with installations, monitoring, and material requisitioning and expediting.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a Grade 12 diploma, supplemented by a two-year CADD or Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma, and one or more years of Auto CAD experience.  Significant education and/or experience in a mining or construction setting may be considered as equivalent.  Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, and the ability to work independently or in a team structure is necessary.


The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check.  All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
