YMCA Youth Coordinator
The YMCA is looking for a Youth Coordinator to oversee our Saturday Programs and YMCA Leadership classes. Programs include, but are not limited to drop in youth program, preschool programs, child minding and the YMCA Leaders in Training. The Coordinator will oversee a small staff and ensure effective planning and implementing of youth programs. Candidates will have experience in lesson planning and managing staff and ideally be working towards an education degree. The YMCA is a community based- non- profit organization and we welcome all candidates who share our vision and values.
Duties and Expectations
Lesson planning for all youth classes including, creative cooking, obstacle courses and mad science
Supervise all staff members and children registered in the YMCAs youth programs
Provide leadership and guidance to youth
Assist with daily operations within the YMCA when needed
Be present and available throughout the duration of the semester
Skills Required
Experience working with children
Experience in lesson planning
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Able to multitask effectively
Reliable and punctual
Hours of Work: Saturday Mornings and weekday evenings/ 15-20 hours per week
