Description

Smiths Agency (Regina) Ltd., a well-established
and independent general insurance broker/motor
license issuer in central Regina, is ready to add
another post-secondary student.

This offer is most beneficial to those students
who are in their 1st or 2nd year of study and are
hoping to find somewhere that offers both part-
time hours during class semesters and additional
(up to full time) hours during the summer months.  
Availability of at least every other weekend and a
few nights per week (around 15-20 hrs/week) is
needed with option for more if wanted.

As with many students before, Smiths Agency pride
themselves in being able to give those enrolled in
post-secondary programs valuable and transferable
work experience, highly competitive compensation
plus commissionable sales, a good work environment
and support in a work/school/life balance.

The ideal candidate would be a natural
communicator, positive, and thrive in a fast-paced
setting.

Some of your key duties would include:

-Saskatchewan Auto Fund (SGI) motor license
issuing; including renewing licenses,
registrations, fielding customer inquiries and
developing leads into general insurance accounts
-General insurance new sales and customer service;
including reviewing existing coverage, suggesting
available enhancements or options, and seeing
through client requests
-Assisting your team members with additional
office duties as needed

Skills & Abilities

-Excellent communication skills and problem
solving/analytical abilities
-Ability to quickly grasp and utilize industry
standard software, as well as a good level of
comfort with the basics of Microsoft Office.
-Previous experience in either team-based client
service or sales positions prove extremely helpful
-Good organizational skills and work habits
