POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cameco is looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our mine operations team at the worlds second largest high grade uranium deposit, located at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan.
As a mine foreman, you will be responsible for many challenges including, supervising, coordinating and delegating all underground production mining activities. You will be a valuable member of the mine operations team contributing to the administration of equipment and resources to ensure organizational targets are met in an efficient, productive and safe manner.
You will play a key role by interacting with various internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance with safety and environmental requirements. As a mine foreman you will be a valuable member of the team committed towards helping the Cigar Lake operation reach reliability excellence.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Five to eight years of relevant work experience in an underground mine environment
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Supervisory experience with strong leadership skills
Results orientated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Preference will be given to candidates with a mine technician diploma
Assets:
Saskatchewan supervisory certificate
The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
