Manager, Technical Services
Permanent   Regina

The Manager, Technical Services is a key member of the IT leadership team.  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you are responsible for providing the delivery of technical services to meet the strategic, tactical and operational needs of the WCB to deliver services to injured workers, employers, care providers, and other third parties.

You are responsible for technical services operations which include the data center, network (voice and data), database systems, mid-range services, storage, and the implementation and operations of technology.  Furthermore, you are responsible for the following:

    WCBs Service Desk, providing end user technology support;
    Working with other departments to develop and implement strategies to deliver service and support;
    Developing, recommending and implementing approved technical services directions/strategies;
    Implementing and supporting the enterprises technical architecture; and
    Developing the ITS strategic plan for the WCB.  

Qualifications:

A University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited University.  Your education will be supplemented with a minimum of ten years of experience as a systems professional in a medium to large systems environment with demonstrated experience in progressively responsible roles, including:

    A minimum of ten years of experience in managing infrastructure and IT operations;
    A minimum of five years of experience in project management, planning, and information technology administration; and
    A minimum of five years of experience in managing and leading individual and team performance.

The following designations and certifications will be considered an asset in this position:  PMP, MSCE, Cisco Certification, and ITIL Practitioner.
