The Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic/Technologist will develop, install and maintain instrumentation control loops for the service refinery process that includes measurement of flow, level, pressure, density, vibration and temperature loops, etc. This position is also responsible for routine maintenance such as calibration and configuration performed on transmitters and valves using hart protocol and foundation fieldbus devices.
To qualify for this position, applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma, supplemented with a certificate from a recognized technical institution or a journeyman license. The incumbent will be knowledgeable of the installation and maintenance of DCS/process automation control systems and equipment. Preference will be given to applicants with industrial experience. Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
