Home Centre Manager - Nipawin, SK
Pineland Co-op in Nipawin, a progressive co-operative serving a large geographic area in Northeastern Saskatchewan, invites applications for the position of Home Centre Manager.  The Town of Nipawin is located on the Saskatchewan River portion of Tobin Lake.  The area is an outdoor paradise with access to some of the best hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, golfing and other outdoor recreation areas in the province.  The main industries include agriculture, tourism, honey production and canola oil processing.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pineland Co-op Home Centre.  Duties will include the organization and co-ordination of large volumes of lumber products, overseeing project estimates and contractor relationships along with responsibility for overseeing budgeting, ordering, receiving, department business planning, and merchandising for the lumber, hardware and service station / gas bar departments.
Applicants should have retail building materials management experience, as well as a background in hardware retailing, complete with excellent product knowledge.  Previous experience in the lumber industry will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented, and possesses strong business management, administrative and supervisory skills.
Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills will be considered assets. Applicants must possess good interpersonal, organizational and sales skills.
