Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our growing Engineered Services team within Brandts Positioning Technology Division.

Brandt is the exclusive Topcon Dealer in Western Canada and a Platinum member of the Canadas 50 Best Managed Companies Program. The Positioning Technology Division provides technology solutions to the construction, survey, engineering, mining, mapping and agriculture sectors.

The Technical Support Specialist will report to the Engineered Services Manager and will be responsible for product support, training, product development and testing. Additionally, the Technical Support Specialist will assist in developing innovative strategies and applications to assist our sales team and clients realize the full potential of our positioning systems.

This is an exciting position and a great opportunity to be hands on with some of the most innovative positioning technology available including machine automation, 3D scanning, mobile mapping, GNSS and robotic instrument solutions along with powerful cloud based software solutions.

Extensive travel will be required to the various Brandt Tractor branch locations throughout Western Canada as well as to remote projects sites to support our growing customer base. Ideally, this position would be based out of our Saskatoon or Regina branch office.

A Geomatics/Civil Engineering diploma or Electronics Engineering diploma is preferred as well as relevant work experience in the construction, land surveying and/or engineering field. The candidate should be familiar with machine automation, GNSS, robotic and conventional positioning systems as well as a thorough understanding of survey field and office software and CAD systems.

The candidate should have an aptitude for computer related technology as well as good organizational and problem solving skills. Topcon product knowledge and experience with heavy equipment is also an asset.
