Job Summary:
We are currently seeking to hire Material Sorters. In this role, you will be called to recycle materials by grade. you will also identify outbound recycling materials that are acceptable for sale to various brokers or mills. You also may be called to operate manual processing equipment, sort/segregate recoverable materials (i.e. metals, paper and plastic) from waste, all the while maintaining cleanliness in the facility and following safety protocols.
Qualifications:
To have a Criminal Record Check. To be able to recognize and remove contaminants from recycled material. To be able to complete repetitive hand and arm motions. To be able to stand for long periods of time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in completing tasks while on the sorting belt.
To ensure the processing of recycled material is done in a timely manner.
To works shifts as scheduled, if needed.
To maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate initiative and good judgement in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
