Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Conduct water and wastewater sampling in accordance with the Permits to Operate, as well as analysis and trending.
    Collect data and assist in the preparation of reports to Council and other Government Agencies, on a variety of technical subjects as related to water, wastewater & waste mgmt.
    Maintain a progressive strategy and process to promote the diversion of recyclable materials from the WMF into acceptable end-uses.
    Process monthly client billings
    To investigate, document and resolve customer complaints.
    Maintain and upgrade software related to the WMF, water and wastewater systems.  In some cases, new software and management systems will need to be developed.
    Analyze and evaluate strategies and options to support the long-term redevelopment of waste, water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities.
    All other duties as assigned.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

    Ability to organize the workload in a manner that is efficient and effective.
    Ability to liaise with a diversity of internal and external clients while exercising diplomacy and discretion.
    Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
    Demonstrate skills in using engineering software like Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, WaterCAD and other common systems.  
    Demonstrated capacity to maintain and develop customized software, which would be used to control and/or evaluate processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Graduate from a recognized Engineering, Technology course.
    Certification or eligibility for certification (Associate Member), as an Applied Science Technologist by Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians required.
    Up to three years of related experience.
    Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence.
    Must provide a vehicle for which vehicle allowance will be paid.
