Description

In a Catholic environment that fosters collegiality and supports continuous learning, this employee is responsible for all tax assessment and transportation programs within the school division.  This employee also performs communication functions and has budgetary responsibilities.
The Transportation/Assessment Officer shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
Conduct oneself in a Christian manner appropriate to an educational institution
Be knowledgeable and supportive of Regina Catholic Schools policies and expectations
Administer, in accordance with school division policy, a transportation program which meets the requirements of the daily instructional program.
Administer transportation contracts between the Board and external agencies
Prepare and update bus routes and taxi schedules  and distribute to parents and school division personnel
Prepare, update and circulate to transportation personnel, medical information relevant to students requiring special medical attention in emergent situations
Liaise with parents, school division personnel and transportation providers regarding transportation related issues
Prepare and administer annual budget
Prepare reports as required by the Ministry of Education
Responsible for supplies for the Safety Patrol Program
Prepare literature on student safety
Meet and problem solve with parents, school division personnel and transportation providers
Initiate and coordinate in-services for transportation providers and school division personnel
Handle sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner
Participate in System-sponsored, professional development and in-service training
Prepare administrative reports
Administer the tax assessment program
Be a practicing Catholic who is a member of a parish community
