AREVA Resources Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Mill Instrumentation Designer with the Mill Engineering Team at our McClean Lake Operation. As an integral member of the mill engineering team, the Instrumentation Designer will be responsible for instrumentation engineering and selection on mill projects.
General responsibilities of the position include:
Developing and maintaining engineering standards for instrumentation and related systems. Ensure such standards are followed on all projects in the mill.
Working closely with metallurgy, operations and maintenance groups to support and develop solutions for instrumentation related issues.
Following the mill change management process, this person must ensure that changes to instrumentation systems are managed effectively and adequately documented.
Providing functional leadership to the instrumentation group by spearheading the implementation of agreed to standards involving graphics, alarms, etc.
Developing expertise concerning instrumentation controls concerns and control modules.
Reporting to the Mill Electrical Engineer this position will be part of the McClean Lake site Mill Engineering Group.

Position requires a self-starting individual who is ambitious and driven.

Qualifications for the position include:
Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology supplemented with 0-5 years experience working in an industrial environment.
Experience with a variety of level and flow measurement technologies would be considered an asset.
Experience with DeltaV, AMS (Asset Management System), and HART technologies would be considered an asset.
An understanding of both PID and feed-forward process controls would be beneficial.
Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance module and AutoCAD would also be beneficial.
