Description

HD Management is a progressive Saskatchewan based firm that provides labour to the growing potash industry. We are committed to providing superior value and service to our customer, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Duties: Reporting to the Department Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the following: Actively promote safety and protect the environment in every responsibility and task; operate heavy equipment to move, load train cars with product and transport train cars with car haul in a safe and timely manner; collect samples and delivery them to the Quality Control Laboratory for analysis; participate in completion of Task Safety Analysis and Work Permits on a daily basis; actively troubleshoot mechanical failures and issues when they arise; and attend and partake in regular safety meetings.

Qualifications: Grade 12; Consideration may be given to those with an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other qualifications include: Experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Operator that is able to maneuver equipment in difficult spaces; excellent eye, hand and foot co-ordination and fast reflexes; strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal tactfully with others; strong mechanical ability with able to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems; and preference will be given to individuals with relevant industry experience and/or completion of a relevant heavy duty certification program.

Working Conditions: Willing to travel to work; valid drivers license; criminal record check; willing to work a flexible 12 hour shift schedule (day & night); able to lift and maneuver heavy objects on a regular basis (50 lbs.); and the ability to work at heights while wearing fall protection.
