Associated Mining Construction Inc. (AMC) is a rapidly growing organization with many opportunities for career growth and enrichment.  We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages and are currently accepting Hoistman applications for current opportunities throughout Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities Include:
- Operating the hoist and winches in accordance with manufacturers specifications, AMC policies and an applicable legislation.
- Performing brake tests and trial run(s) before each shift
- Communicate status of the hoist conveyances and shaft with cross shift hoistman at change
- Ensures that any equipment deemed damaged or unsafe by virtue of a defect, or any protection system is inoperative, is not used, be communicated to the shaft leader, shaft superintendent and or the night captain
- Completing all required documentation
- Reporting any deficiencies and tagging out equipment as required
- Controlling and maintaining hoist and rope logs
- Communicating with employees working in the shaft
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in their workplace

Who You Are:
- Previous experience as a sinking hoistman is required
- Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Registered as a Hoistman in the province of Saskatchewan or have the ability to obtain registration within the time limits required.

Additional Information:
- This posting is for a camp based opportunity. Our typical employee works a 20 days on, 10 days off rotational schedule, although this schedule may differ depending on future project needs.
- Monday to Friday rotations may be available for local hires.
- Flights to and from site are provided for non local hires.
