Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfill the position of Senior Project Manager for our multi family housing division in Saskatoon. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the entire construction management process and customer liaison during the construction of a specific building or project.

Main Duties:
-Performs initial budgeting and estimating of all trades and materials and subsequent award of contracts.
-Sets initial schedules and coordination of trade timing and follow through during the project.
Manages to budget and ensures final numbers are within budget.
-Acts as a liaison with the Site Superintendent, sales people, and Customers.
-Liaisons with architects, engineers, compliance people, and OH&S personnel.
-Resolve any and all project issues.
-Ensures all safety standards, internal and external (OH&S) are adhered to during the construction period.
-Handles all change orders and site instructions.
-Provides comprehensive information to the Site Superintendent on a daily basis.
-Ensures Customers are happy upon final unit turnovers and that product turnover is done with minimal deficiency.
-Oversees completion of the project including finalizing maintenance manuals, as-builts, city requirements and liaising with the property manager.  
-Ensures all ongoing issues are resolved prior to our Warranty department taking over.
Maintain and enhance trade relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years residential estimating and project management experience. They will be a Certified Engineering Technologist or Construction Technician and possess the ability to accurately read blue prints and note construction details. Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well with people are critical to the job. The Senior Project Manager will also have proven skills to meet deadlines, be accurate and attentive to details.
