The yard employees are responsible for general duties in the yard including loading and unloading company delivery vehicles, customer vehicles, and freight trucks as well as maintaining inventory in the yard.
-Looking after contractor and other customers product, load/unload vehicles
-Keep the yard, cut shop, glass shop, special order bins, and general area in a clean and presentable appearance
-Unload transport trucks with product for the store and yard
-Ensure all products leaving the yard have been invoiced
-Attend any training requested by store management
-Be knowledgeable about all products stored in the yard
-Use proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to yard inventory
-Be familiar with grades, dimensions, and varieties of lumber stocked in the yard.
-Be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
-Assume any other duties as requested by the Yard Foreman or Store Management
Transportation/Travel Information
- Own transportation
- Valid driver's licence
