Description

Salary:    Compensation is an Alternate Payment Plan of approximately $38,448 per month.  In addition, an on-call stipend is paid at approximately $540/day when physician is on call (in accordance with the Saskatchewan Specialist on Call Agreement).  

The Five Hills Health Region requires the services of a full-time Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist physician to provide locum services for the period November 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015.  This position is based out of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.

This position is a generalist obstetrician and gynaecologist supporting the current Womens Health program which involves deliveries, c-sections, gynaecological surgeries and treatments.  Duties will include taking emergency call on a 1 and 3 rotation.  Moose Jaw Union Hospital is affiliated with the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Family Medicine Program; therefore, the successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for an academic appointment.

Complete office set-up outside of the hospital is available and can be negotiated directly with the owning specialist.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate shall have or be eligible for certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.  Physicians must also have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage.  In accordance with Canadian Foreign Worker requirements, preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
