Description

Previous experience in an Optometric setting an asset, but not required.
Certified Optometric Assistant an asset, but not required.
Minimum Grade 12 graduate.  

Job Description:  Computer patient scheduling, billing and reconciling patient's accounts.  Assisting patients in selecting Spectacle frames and lenses.  Minor testing of patients. Dictaphone.  Spectacle frame and lens selection training to be provided.  Contact lens training to be provided.
Emphasis on reception duties.
Experience in a retail setting would be an asset

The successful candidate will be strongly recommended to take the Canadian Association of Optometrist - Optometric Assistant's course which runs annually.
