Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for contracting grain from farmer customers in the Yorkton area. Reporting to the General Manager of Yorkton you will work directly with the staff at the facility to ensure grain is contracted and delivered as required by the business plan. You will also be responsible for providing grain marketing advice to farmer customers. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Knowledge of all aspects of grain marketing including the ability to match the requirements of the elevator to the stocks available on-farm in the market area.  Contracting all types of grain from farm customers in accordance with the business plan.  Dealing with producer customers and providing market information and guidance in a professional manner and being comfortable interacting with producers in person or through various other methods of modern communication.  A sound knowledge of contracting non-Board grains and their markets.  Canadian Grain Commission regulations would be helpful as well  

Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience in dealing with agricultural producers at increasing levels of responsibility.  Thorough knowledge of the crops grown in Western Canada, along with some experience in providing effective crop protection solutions for the producers.  Certified Crop Advisor status or the ability to attain that status it would be an asset.  Computer literacy is required.  Valid drivers licence is required Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is an equal opportunity employer and is in compliance with the Employment Equity Act.
