Description

Sask. Landing Regional Water Pipeline Utility (SLRWPU) requires a Water Treatment Plant Operator to operate a Class II Sand Filtration water treatment plant 2 miles East of the Town of Kyle, Saskatchewan.  

The successful applicant must possess a Class II Water Treatment certification valid in Saskatchewan or be eligible to gain the required certification in the near future.  This position will report to the Water System Operations Supervisor and be responsible for all aspects of water treatment required to provide safe water to a variety of urban and rural water users.  Experience operating sand filtration water treatment plants will be considered an important asset but not mandatory.  Additional certification in water distribution and/or waste water treatment will also be considered an asset.

This is a new facility and is part of a new regional water system.  This position will work throughout the Utility as required such as operating a secondary new reverse osmosis water treatment plant as a relief operator and checking/maintaining a 600 km rural water pipeline with booster/reservoirs.  A willingness to learn new skills and technologies will be useful to the position.  The rural water pipeline project is near the end of construction.
