We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and experienced individual to join our team to manage major projects and lead our marketing and communications activities.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Project and Communications Manager will undertake the following responsibilities:
-Manage major projects such as the production of an agriculture storybook, promotional video, a high school science resource, and the design and development of a new AITC website. Managing these projects includes setting timelines, directing workflow, project coordination, hiring and coordinating third party contractors, managing budgets, trouble-shooting, achieving project objectives, evaluating the project, preparing project reports, and reporting to AITC-SKs Executive Director.
-Assist in developing AITC-SK sponsorship packages
-Support the Executive Director in sponsorship request presentations and meetings
-Manage the AITC-SK website and social media components
-Develop and distribute annual report, newsletters, media releases, posters, and other communication/marketing pieces
-Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
-Aid in writing grants and grant reports
-Managing Outreach Programs as required which may include setting dates, contacting presenters, promoting event to teachers, managing budgets, ordering event supplies, and creating evaluation forms.
Skills and Education:
-Degree and/or related experience in business, marketing, communications, project management, and/or education
-2 5 years relevant experience managing projects
-Experience developing marketing & communications pieces.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Ability to establish positive relationships with stakeholders
-Confident speaking to small and large groups
-Agriculture background and understanding of the agriculture industry an asset
-Experience with Adobe In Design and Photoshop an asset
