The Employment Development & Career Services Department is seeking to add an energetic, professional and organised individual to the team. Under the direction of and reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Administrative Assistant will provide general support to the staff within the Employment Development & Career Services Department as needed.
Required Competencies:
Demonstrate integrity, initiative and a good work ethic, while performing general administrative functions relating (but not limited) to office reception, office equipment maintenance, receipt and sending correspondence and ordering supplies.
Actively participate in an energetic and cooperative team environment on an as needed basis, provide administrative support to personnel of the Employment Development & Career Services Department, as instructed by the Administrative Manager.
Exercise confidence and proficiency in using a broad range of interpersonal communication methods within the Department and Institute as well as with external colleagues, vendors and clients.
Apply continual efforts to produce quality and professional work standards through commitment to task detail and best possible work results.
Take initiative for self-development through continuous learning and professional/skill development.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and organisation.
Qualifications Sought:
Certification from a recognized business or office administration program or an appropriate combination of work experience and education
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Experience in working in a First Nation environment is an asset
