Description

Summary of Duties:
The Scheduler position reports to the Conference & Catering Manager, the position is responsible for all aspects of food & beverage scheduling within Evraz Place, including prepare, maintaining and distribute staff schedules; adhering to collective bargaining agreement, and replaces staff as required. Duties include interpreting and adherence to Evraz Place policies; collective agreement and legislation as they pertain to scheduling, hours of work, meal breaks and rest periods, overtime, cross training, receipt, distribution and maintenance availability forms; calling and scheduling staff for replacement of leaves and schedules adjustments; prepares, maintains and updates staff schedules; maintains unit ledgers to align with current seniority list.  Communicates effectively in-person, over-the-phone and in email with staff, managers and volunteers.  Maintains documentation of the scheduling process.  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education & Office Education diploma/certificate.
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a computerized environment with practical knowledge of Microsoft Office including, Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to staff, managers and vendors/volunteers even in times of stress.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment/under pressure.
- Results orientated to meet goals and deadlines under tight timeframes.
- Possess and maintain a criminal record check.

Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm
