Description

VDC Virtual Data Corp. (www.virtualdata.com) is currently looking for a talented, motivated Support Analyst. This individual must be extremely organized and have at least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Desktop and Server environments. This candidate must have an in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, Active Directory, Terminal Services, Microsoft Exchange and QuickBooks. This person must also have a complete understanding of internet security including spam and virus protection for the enterprise. In addition, they must be willing to handle system maintenance and support tasks during regular business hours and off hours, including weekends when required.
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Microsoft Certification required
- CCNA required

Network Administration / Technical Skills
- Excellent understanding of all Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Email Migrations, Outlook in Exchange Environment
- Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Server technologies
- Experience with Virtualization Technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, MX Records and Spam Filtering
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including Backups, Restores
- Good understanding of Server hardware and RAID technologies
- Good understanding of VLAN technologies and Layer 2 Managed Switches
- Firewall configuration experience with Cisco ASA series, Fortinet Firewalls
- Experience with Site to Site VPN technologies
- Network installation including running CAT5 cable, terminating jacks and crimping ends
- Server and Workstation Assembly, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance

Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to be on-call
- Must have valid class 5 drivers license
- Must have vehicle which can be used for service calls when needed
- Must provide a criminal record check
