Description

We invite you to explore an exceptional opportunity, due to a pending retirement, as President with The Agricultural Manufacturers Association of Canada (www.a-m-c.ca).  Based in Regina, you will work closely with the Board and represent AMC's over 400 manufacturers and suppliers across Canada.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Leadership and Executive Management
--Represent AMC and its members.  Provide leadership and build working relationships to achieve corporate goals.
--Work closely with the Board in the areas of strategic planning, finance, and government relations/lobbying.
--Develop lobbying positions on issues involving Federal and Provincial governments.
2. Communications and Member Relations
--Develop and maintain strong member relations.  Visit members place of business regularly, and provide consistent communication to the Board and members.  Maintain good public relations with other associations.
3. Education, Member Services and Events
--Direct and assist in coordinating AMC's annual convention, seminars and workshops.
--Manage the Manitoba Safety Program and budget, and assist in guiding and expanding the program.
4. General Management
--Oversee the daily operations of the AMC office.  Manage time and finances effectively; prioritize workload and respond to various enquiries.

Education:  A related degree in Business Administration or Commerce.  An equivalent of education and experience will be considered.
Experience:  Experience in a senior management capacity is required.  Experience in the industry is an asset.
Personality/Desired attributes:
--A strategic leader, with excellent relationship building and communications skills.
--Accountable, and has a sense of ownership; works in the best interest of AMC.
--Form of transportation, and be willing to travel as required.
