ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-To supervise and give care for children
-Assume full responsibilities in absence of parents
-Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
-Light housekeeping, cooking and cleaning duties
-Current CPR and First Aid training is considered an asset
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English or French (ability to speak Arabic is considered an asset)
WORK LOCATION INFORMATION: Reside in private household for the duration of employment; private room will be provided; $250.00 per month charged for the room and board.
Children'S Ages
- Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years)
Specific Skills
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
- Supervise and care for children
- Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Read to children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
