The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of two (2) years directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
The Academic Advisor will provide academic advising and monitoring for students from entry to completion; Advise students about academic requirements and selection of courses; Review, update and maintain students academic programs and advising activity; Provide degree plans for core, major and transfer students; Evaluate and determine transfer of credits; Assist students with career exploration; Provide recruitment and outreach services to students to include providing financial aid and scholarship guidance and assistance; Initiate and maintain communication both internally and externally to the University to collect, update, and disseminate information on programs and requirements, policies, procedures and resources; Provide proactive and timely outreach, referrals and intervention with students through a variety of communication methods; Engage in referral services for students to both internal and external organizations.
