The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership to cancer care in Saskatchewan and operates prevention and early detection programs, conducts innovative research and provides safe, patient and family-centred care at our two comprehensive cancer centres - the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. We are seeking 1 permanent full-time Clinical Associate to work with the Medical Oncology/Hematology departments at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
The physician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in providing care to patients 50% of the time with the Medical Oncology Program and 50% with the Hematology Program. While in Hematology, the physician will participate in daily rounds and provide care to patients admitted at the Royal University Hospital. Services in Medical Oncology involve primarily assessments and follow up care for patients in the Cancer Centre. Ideal candidates will have their Certification in Family Medicine along with experience in family practice management and hospital care or equivalent experience. Candidates must hold certification with the Medical Council of Canada or at minimum have completed the Medical Council of Canada evaluating exam (MCCEE) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Physicians with Internal medicine, Medical Oncology or Hematology training and experience are also welcome to apply. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency offers an attractive compensation, benefits and relocation assistance package. These positions are compensated within two salary schedules: Schedule A: $205,028 - $229,400 and Schedule B: $226, 338 - $302,435. Placement within these schedules will commensurate with an individuals training and experience.
