Description

The Moose Jaw Housing Authority is currently seeking an Activity Worker who absolutely enjoys working with seniors and making positive contributions to their daily lives in a team environment.  
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Ensure tenant safety in emergency situations (ex. Non-responsive tenants, etc);
-Encourage independence and capacity building for all tenants;
-Assist to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate formal/information services;
-Provide administrative support and liaison with the MJHA office and Tenant Associations;
-Prepare reports, correspondence, related administrative duties;
-Inventory control for SALS services;
-Maintain accurate records of participation;
-Assist tenants to complete MJHA forms, documents;
-Other duties as assigned.
-Build and maintain positive working relations with all MJHA teams;
-Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude to applicants, customers, tenants;
-Promote good working relations with tenants, customers, suppliers, the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
-Report to the Tenant Services Manager (TSM) any tenant violating any condition of the lease agreement or may be experiencing difficulty living independently;
-Report to the TSM situations where a tenant may be responsible for damages or may be charged a fee for service;
-Report to the TSM situations which require (or may require) crisis intervention or settlement.
Demonstrated Abilities:
-Knowledge / experience in working with seniors;
-Work effectively in a supportive team environment;
-Accustomed to office routine, procedure, equipment;
-Computer skills; use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet applications;
-Performance of mathematical calculations required for successful job performance;
-Superior organizational skills.
Other Requirements:
-A reliable vehicle for daily use;
-Valid driver's license;
-Clean Criminal Record Check.
