Description

Regina Youth for Christ is looking to fill 1 Full Time Nights position in our 12-17 girls group home. This Youth Care Leader position is ideal for a person who is people-focused, responsible and passionate about guiding young people. Although the position is nights,  Youth Care Leaders can sleep an average of 4-6 hours on shift. The right candidate must have some experience and/or education in working with youth or young adults. Above all, the candidate must already be in agreement with our Statement of Faith, willing to work within a missions-based organization and participate in fund raising responsibilities.

Overview:

- Ability to create a consistent evening and morning routine
- Ability to communicate and document professionally

Relationship building and Support
- Ability to build trusted relationships with youth
- Ability to motivate and empower youth towards success
- Ability to support youth in problem solving and behavior choices
- Assist youth to create and meet goals
- Support youth with basic life skills

Overseeing and Guiding
- Ability to track and measure a youth's success
- Ability to redirect or apply consequences to a youth's choices
- Ability to hold a youth accountable for their choices
- Ability to set and maintain healthy, professional boundaries
