Now Hiring Shaft Construction Miners specializing in the Installation of Shaft Steel for the Agrium Vanscoy Ultimate Expansion (VAULT) Project located 20 kilometers outside of Saskatoon, SK. This project is projected to continue until the beginning of December, 2014.
Responsibilities Include:
Safely and efficiently perform all of the activities associated with underground construction, including loading pocket and internal shaft demolition of all steel and new reinstallation. De-roping and re-roping with skip installation.
Working from heights utilizing swing stages is required, with training available.
Following prints and planning the work.
Maintain in good order the work area, in accordance with legislated and Company standards with regards to ground conditions, housekeeping, ventilation, dewatering, installation of pipes and cables, and the nipping of required supplies and materials necessary to complete the work
Clean up around shaft.
Prepare and pour concrete for miscellaneous underground structures.
Operate shaft signal system.
Material handling, rigging materials and steel for installation.
Requirements:
Experience in shaft steel construction and maintenance.
Experience in constructing loading pockets, shaft steel demolition and installation such as guides, arrester columns, arrester frames and crash beams is required.
Additional Information:
This position will work a 21 days on, 7 days off rotational schedule.
