Summary
The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will be responsible for assisting in the repair, maintenance, calibration, adjustment, and installation of industrial measuring and controlling instrumentation. Other responsibilities will include consulting manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature and other variables in manufacturing and processing.
Job Duties
- Work on projects independently to their completion
- Follow wiring schematics to wire product line, PLC control systems and test both
- Follow test procedures and fill out check lists, complete with test data or readings
- Assist in the repairs and adjustments to system components such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers
- Assist in executing instrumentation and automation according to Project Engineers
- Communicating the requirement for drawing revisions and suggested improvements to products and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English
- Able to work well under pressure if required to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Work Conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Overtime as required
- Will be exposed to manufacturing shop-floor
