Join our dynamic team of teachers and assume a shared leadership role to make a difference in the lives of our students and their families every day. You will work in partnership with the Education Director to lead and manage the centre. You will implement the Oxford developed curriculum, manage the teaching staff and ensure the effective, quality delivery of our education services. You will communicate with parents to inform them about Oxford, recommend programs and keep them abreast of their childrens progress. You will administer Oxford Dynamic Assessments, recommend goal-based programs and monitor & report students performance. You will create a positive learning environment to support our students and teachers at all times. Excellent training and ongoing support will be provided. As Little Readers instructor you will work with preschoolers aged 3-6 years. It is a half-day early literacy program, which develops cognitive skills and fosters a love for learning. Oxford Learnings enriched academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music as well as weekly science and craft activities. Children enjoy a balance of academics and play in a structured environment.
Candidates for this position must possess the following:
-Teaching/tutoring experience especially with children at the preschool level
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Dynamic leadership, teamwork and motivational skills
-Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
-A commitment to the end of the 2014/2015 school year is also required to provide consistency to our students
-An individual who is professional, creative, energetic and eager to learn
-clear Criminal Record Check
-Early Childhood Education diploma and First Aid Certification would be assets
-This job is for one person who will have 2 split job titles and duties
-Schedule is: Tuesday from 12:30-8:00; Wednesday from 3:00-8:00; Thursday from 12:30-8:00
