Reporting to the Transportation & Customer Services Supervisor, the Agro Customer Service Associate is responsible for:
1. Receiving and processing stock and direct crop supply, lifestock equipment, crop protection and animal health orders as required.
2. Receiving, and processing crop supply booking orders.
3. In conjunction with Region Distribution, monitoring shelf life of appropriate inventories and co-ordinating disposal of outdated items with Home Office Feed.
4. Ensuring retail inquiries are handled promptly and effectively.
5. Processing retail claims and issuing suppliers' claims as required.
6. Authorizing and coding for payment A/C payable charges.
7. Authorizing and coding carrier freight charges.
8. Maintaining records of carryover programs and current supplier product information files and parts listings.
9. Providing back up services to other TCSU sections as required.
10. Handling retail correspondence and product information requests.
11. Other duties as assigned.
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess:
University degree (Agriculture)
OR
Diploma in Agriculture, plus one year of closely related experience.
OR
A recognized two-year post secondary Retailing or Business Administration program from a technical institute or university, plus one year of experience in the retail/wholesale crop supplies industry.
NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants who hold an Agriculture university degree; the successful applicant should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
