Description

AMC is a rapidly growing organization with many opportunities for career growth and enrichment.  We offer competitive compensation and are currently hiring Underground Supervisor(s) for the Agrium Vanscoy Ultimate Expansion (VAULT) Project located 20 kilometers outside of Saskatoon, Sk. This project is projected to continue until December 2014.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct the underground personnel.
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Environmental standards, regulations and laws.
Ensure the underground work is undertake in keeping with the contractual documents, the prescribed conditions, the plans, specifications, norms and standard (Quality assurance).
Upholding contractual and regulatory responsibilities as the contractor on the work-site.
Direct and instruct the underground personnel in the methods for the project.
Take the initiative to adapt the underground methods to solve problems and conflicts.
Meet completion dates set for the underground projects, as well as the intermediary dates, that are contractually negotiated cost limit.
Apply and oversee that the health, security and environment policies are followed.

Requirements:
Previous mining experience is required, in the areas of underground construction, including loading pocket and internal shaft demolition of all steel and new reinstallation.  De-roping and re-roping with skip installation.
A Saskatchewan Underground Supervisor Ticket would be considered an asset.
Experience working in a safety sensitive environment.
Commitment to working in a team environment.

Additional Information
Our typical employee works a 21 days on, 7 days off rotational schedule.
Accommodations or a living out allowance is provided to non local hires.
Transportation to and from site are provided for non local hires every rotation.
