Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Nutrition plus completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship
-Certified Diabetes educator or willingness to obtain certification in two (2)years
-Must be a registered Dietitian with the Saskatchewan Dietetics Association of Cananda or eligible to do so
-Understanding of and ability to implement a population health approach to serving clients
-Knowledge of childhood and adult teaching principles both individual and group
-Able to work effectively with a variety of clients, families and other health disciplines
-Able to work with a team, with self-direction and minimal supervision
-Valid Driver's License
Duties:
-Work as a member of the Health Education Team planning, delivering, reporting, administering and evaluatin the following Health Canada Programs: Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program, Brighter Futures Program and Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative Program
-Travel to the 6 First Nation communities aligned with YTC and non-aligned communities as contracted
