We currently have a vacancy in our Energy Services Division for a Service Hand, maintaining and repairing equipment while delivering first class customer service. This role plays a vital role within the Estevan operations so the expectations for fast and professional service will be high as you will be the face and contact for our customers in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintaining and repairing our rental fleet for both surface rental equipment and accommodation gear,
* Set up and tear out of camps, well sites and sleepers
* Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry Repairs
* Heating and HVAC repairs
* Finishing work
* Satellite wiring and set up
* Various trouble shooting on equipment
* Tracking of all tools assigned to truck
* Ensuring Truck assigned is clean and in working order
* Ensure appropriate paper work upon finishing job
* Follow all Black Diamonds policies and procedures
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Provide assistance and perform other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must:
* Have a valid H2S, First Aid, & Fall Arrest certifications
* Previous camp maintenance experience and the technical ability to carry out work orders
* Have a clean and valid non GDL drivers license
* Have a high attention to detail and be self-motivated,
* Be able to pass drug test on demand
* Have completed secondary school (preferable)
* Have demonstrated knowledge and capability to perform general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems and site maintenance tasks.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
* An ability to communicate professionally with clients, staff, and management.
* Must be fluent in English both oral and written
Work weeks are scheduled and include 8 days on, two days on call, two days off with the option to work your days off. No relocation or camp options available for this role
