Description

We are Pedigreed Seed Growers as well as operators of a seed cleaning plant.  Located 30 minutes south of Regina, on the outskirts of Milestone Saskatchewan. We are a close and personable company Each of us contribute in many ways to the growth of what we do here as well as the community to which we live. Garratt Seed Plant is looking for full time General Labourer to assist general farming operations.

Qualifications

    No specific education or training required
    Be mechanically inclined
    Basic farm knowledge
    Able to communicate using the English language
    Capable of operating mid sized farm machinery
    Must Have a valid Class 5 Drivers licence and be able to obtain a class 1
    Applicant must be physically fit, hard worker
    The work is "hands on" and you must be able to work quickly and efficiently

Duties include and are not limited to:

    Willing to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
    Demonstrated ability of decision making and problem solving
    Assist in seeding, cultivating and harvesting crops during season
    Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
    Wear appropriate personal safety equipment
    Perform duties to ensure the personal safety of self and others
    Complete miscellaneous farm duties as directed by the farm
    moving and loading a variety of heavy equipment in preparation for customer orders
    Receiving, organizing, unloading product and inventory for the yard
     Ensuring good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the yard
    Performs other duties as directed by Management
