Description

SaskPower is looking for an Engineer, Equipment Integrity who will be accountable to research, develop and implement tasks, asset management methodologies and practices related to the operations and maintenance, and rebuild/life management of SaskPower generating facilities.  Based in Regina, the successful candidate will also travel to site locations to support generation rebuilds, assessments, and commissioning throughout the province, requiring the individual to be away from their home base approximately 3 times per year for two to three week periods.  Typical duties related to the operations and maintenance support provided:  preparation of technical studies, business cases, specifications, tender preparation and evaluations, equipment and construction drawings; equipment / system troubleshooting; commissioning support; project coordination; and, contract management.

Successful applicants will have a university degree in mechanical or industrial systems engineering, be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), and have 5  7 years plant engineering experience providing:  operations, maintenance, and predictive maintenance support; design, construction, commissioning, contract management and coordination of projects.  Candidates must be: results oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; an excellent communicator to lead and coordinate multiple projects in a changing environment.
