We are currently seeking applications for a Program Coordinator to join our management team. The Program Coordinator is a critical link for those we serve. The Program Coordinator is responsible to develop, implement and evaluate programs designed to maximize the participants potential and quality of life, as well as serving as a bridge between our Direct Support Professional to ensure the seamless delivery or services to the individuals we support. The Program Coordinator oversees all programs provided to the individuals, monitors quality of care delivered, and monitors compliance of policy and regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develops programs to address developmental, behavioural, medical, and social needs of participants
-identifies needs for and develops Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (CBSP) in compliance with CPP&SP
-maintains program records
-Supervises, supports, coaches and may disciplines staff through a formal process
-acts as a role model by displaying professional, appropriate and responsible behaviour as a guide to staff and participants.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum of a Disability Support Worker certificate. Related post-secondary education and/or equivalent training and experience may be considered.
-2-5 years experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and 1-3 years of supervisory experience would be an asset.
-Computer skills word processing, data entry, spreadsheets.
-effectively apply decision making skills
-effective time management skills
-effectively communicates written and verbally, including the ability to listen and understand employees and participants.
-establishes and maintains effective interpersonal professional relationships with staff and participants.
REQUIREMENTS:
-A valid driver license and reliable vehicle
-Must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
-Be available to respond to emergencies.
