Major Responsibilities
1.Provide regular preventative maintenance activities to ensure the facility/store interior and exterior is kept in proper order and repair. This includes performing regular inspections to identify required repairs/maintenance, responding to requests for maintenance, repairing broken equipment/fixtures, etc.
2.Investigate maintenance issues/problems, identify appropriate action to be taken, and complete maintenance/repairs as required, including ordering equipment/materials, scheduling work, estimating costs, arranging for external contractors/service if required, determining if equipment can be repaired or if new item should be purchased, etc. Make recommendations to Supervisor as appropriate.
3.Complete fixturing for display areas, eg. altering racks for back walls to new plan, installing fixtures/ equipment, painting, etc.
4.Investigate, diagnose, and resolve problems with a variety of equipment as required, eg. point of sale terminals, scanning wands, credit card/debit systems, trolleys/equipment for moving merchandise, etc. Make recommendations to Supervisor for repair and/or replacement of equipment and estimated costs.
5.Perform other duties as required.
