FACILITY/LOCATION: Battlefords Mental Health Centre
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: BMHC- Child & Youth
STATUS: Permanent Full Time
HOURS OF WORK: In a 3 Week Rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
RATE OF PAY: $51.399 to $62.680 (5 step range)
Required Qualifications:
PhD in Clinical Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, with declared competencies in the areas of clinical couselling with children and youth and forensics with children and youth.
Valid Drivers License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Saskatchewan human services systems and programs.
Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mental Health Services Act, the Child and Family Services Act and the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The ability to do supervision, develop and deliver psychological services to children.
Knowledge of and ability to use and supervise the use of a broad range of psychological testing and assessment procedures.
Knowledge in applying a cognitive-behavioural and other major modes of therapy with emotionally, socially and behaviourally disordered children and youth and their families.
Experience:
Five years experience working with children and youth in a mental health setting.
One year experience supervising the work of other psychologists.
