Overview:
The right person for this job will have previous experience within the landscape construction industry (At least 1-2 seasons of experience).
Daily tasks will include: Installation of conduit in the ground according to specifications provided will need to be physically fit in order to perform tasks, lifting more than 50 LBS.
Other daily activities may include operating machinery, picking up materials, loading and unloading materials and cleaning up job sites.
The right candidate will have the following attributes:
Some hands on experience in landscape construction.
Some experience in any interior trade is an asset but not a requirement.
Be willing to work long days and Saturdays.
Be able to take directions and follow directions.
Be open to constructive criticism.
Be willing to wear an outlined color scheme and be well presentable at all times.
Have a class 5 drivers license.
Have a clean driving record (A check will be done on the applicants driving record).
Experience operating heavy machinery such as line trencher, mini excavators, power wheel barrels etc. is an asset but not mandatory. Will train.
Must be able to handle physical activity.
Own your own vehicle to get to and from work.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
Self-starter with integrity and confidence who strives to achieve in even the most challenging environments with limited supervision.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent in landscaping.
Minimum 2-3 years of construction experience, preferably directional drilling and/or directional drilling foreman experience.
Valid Class 5 Drivers licence.
Criminal Backcheck required.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Travel throughout the Province may be required.
Work weekends as needed during periods of high demand.
