Description

The Senior Technical Assistant reviews applications affecting facilities owned and/or operated by TransGas and issues appropriate permits and legal agreements, which ensure activities affecting the operation company pipelines and facilities are conducted in a consistent and safe manner and in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements to protect the integrity of these facilities.  The Senior Technical Assistant provides technical support to internal and external customers regarding permit and agreement requirements and maintains accurate and current departmental records to reflect the addition of new pipelines and facilities and other operating activities.

Qualifications

Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Engineering Technology Diploma (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, CAD or Structural), from a recognized institution.
Eligible for membership with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technicians and Technologists (SASTT).
Two (2) years experience in the application of technical theories and practices of work associated with natural gas system design, construction, operations or pipeline integrity.
