The Co-operators is looking for a Solutions Designer for our IT department located in Regina, SK.

The Solutions Designer develops the strategy, design and evolution of applications within a defined business area or application portfolio. The role ensures solutions meet client needs and fit within defined Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards and direction. This role works with and informally directs developers and senior developers on design/development techniques to enforce consistency of approach and delivery.

Your Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with seven years relevant systems development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Expert in enterprise architecture standards and in designing large, technically complex applications or application enhancements with successful implementation
Expert programming and design principles, methodologies, tools and techniques
Knowledgeable about technology trends, industry direction, architecture principles, best practices and standards
Experience in some of the following: designing Object Oriented applications, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), XML, .Net technologies, SQL Server, J2EE, designing n-tiered applications, application integration tools, etc
The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment
